Hallo Martine,
Lot No 73
DUNNETT, LADY DOROTHY. REFERENCE LIBRARY. Various in
13 cartons.

Additional Lot Information
History
The above lot (no 73) forms an important and unique insight into
the way Dorothy Dunnett set about writing and researching her
novels. Dunnett was renowned for the amount of research and
attention to detail that went into her novels. She visited every place
mentioned in the entire Lymond saga which included countless
locations in France, Italy, Sicily, North Africa, Yugoslavia, Russia,
Turkey, Spain, Norway, England and of course her beloved
Scotland. Her knowledge of the 15th & 16th centuries including
dialogue and conversation, architecture, maps and prints must
have been unsurpassed in her capacity as a novelist and all this is
evident in the range of subject matter included in this library. All
the details in her novels were investigated, checked and noted in
minute detail and this can be seen by her liberal use of yellow
page markers throughout the volumes.

Seufz!
Grüße
Jenny
